What is Brake thermal efficiency?
Brake thermal efficiency is the ratio of brake power generated at engine output to the fuel power generated through combustion.
Fuel power is equal to mass of fuel per second multiplied by calorific value of fuel
Fuel power = mass of fuel/s X calorific value of fuel
Brake thermal efficiency = Brake power / Fuel power
